About Tome
The Mystic’s Companion
A living archive of the mystical — where seekers record their experiences with scientific rigor, and the patterns between them give rise to mapped systems of practice and their expected effects. An AI-searchable codex, in the making.
The idea
For all of recorded history, contemplatives have walked inward and returned with reports — of stillness, of light, of energies and openings the ordinary mind has no words for. But these reports have stayed scattered: locked in scripture, lost in private journals, passed mouth to ear. Tome gathers them into one place, treats them as data worth keeping, and lets the structure hidden within them surface.
How it works
You practice — meditation, breathwork, ritual, energy work, whatever your path holds — and record what happened. Not vaguely, but with rigor: the technique, the duration, how long you've practiced it, and the precise states it stirred.
Your records join the codex. Each becomes a page others can read, reflect on, and learn from — a community of seekers comparing notes across traditions that rarely speak to one another.
As accounts accumulate, patterns emerge. Which practices reliably produce which states? What works, for whom, and how often? Tome maps these relationships — turning anecdote into a shared, navigable system of practice and expected effect.
What's inside
Tome is built from several interlocking parts:
- Tome — the directory of practices, each with the subtle states it tends to open and, where the community has rated it, a measured success rate.
- The Aetheraneum — a library of 750+ public-domain sacred and esoteric texts, readable in full, from the Vedic and Buddhist to the Hermetic and Kabbalistic.
- The Apothecary — a reference of herbs, tinctures, and elixirs drawn from Daoist, Ayurvedic, and Western traditions.
- Subtle States — a shared vocabulary for the inner weather of practice, so experiences can be compared rather than left ineffable.
- The Archmage — an AI guide grounded in everything above: it can search the library, recommend texts, and counsel from what the community has recorded.
The rigor
Mysticism and method are not opposites here. Every claim in Tome is tied to who reported it, under what conditions, and how many others have found the same. Success rates are community measurements, not promises. Where the evidence is thin, Tome says so — "not yet rated" is an honest answer. The aim is not to flatten the mystical into the merely measurable, but to bring to it the one thing it has always lacked: an accumulating, searchable record.
In the making
Tome is young, and deliberately so — its maps are only as rich as the experiences poured into them. Every page you record makes the patterns clearer for the seeker who comes after you. This is an archive that grows truer with use.
Adi Asaya
Contemplative teacher · Founder of Divine Dimensions
Tome was raised by a practitioner who has spent over a decade in the disciplines it records — thousands of hours in meditation, and a daily practice woven from many traditions held as one.
The path
Adi Asaya teaches a perennialist vision — that beneath the world's wisdom streams runs a single current. The work is experiential before it is theoretical: jhāna and vipassanā, ānāpānasati and the single eye, qigong, yoga, prāṇāyāma, and brahmacharya, kept faithfully over years. Tome exists so that what these practices open can be recorded honestly, mapped, and shared.
The philosophy
His worldview is a synthesis he names his own — grounded in conscious monism, immanent divinity, and the parallel of the individual and the cosmic mind. It draws on the Vedantic and Hindu, the Daoist, the Christian mystical, the Sufi, the Kabbalistic, and the Hermetic, not as a museum of beliefs but as one living teaching: that the divine is not distant, and that disciplined inner practice is the means of its realization.
Divine Dimensions
Beyond the Tome, Adi Asaya builds a contemplative community and retreat offering under the Divine Dimensions banner — intensive practice, study, and the slow work of divinizing the ordinary. Through Spirit, Service, and Sacrifice, we rise.

Sitting before dawn, the breath grew so subtle I could no longer find where it entered or left. The counting fell away on its own — there was nothing left to count.
For a while there was only a faint silver awareness with no edges, and no one watching it. Not blankness; if anything it was more vivid than ordinary seeing, just without a center. When I came back the candle had barely moved, though it felt like no time and all time at once.
The thing I keep turning over: the "I" didn't dissolve dramatically. It simply wasn't relevant for a while, and nothing minded its absence.
Reflections
Resting attention on the natural breath, refining it from gross to subtle until the mind gathers and grows still. The foundational concentration practice across nearly every contemplative lineage.
